UFC at Bettorbase

The UFC had come a long way since the 1990s when Sen. John McCain campaigned to ban the sport. Fortunately for fighters and fans alike, the UFC, now in partnership with ESPN, has gone mainstream and is a favorite social sport for friends to come together and watch the fights. Better base’s Ultimate Fighting Championship pages are filled with UFC tips, odds, predictions, and more to give you a better knowledge of how to win in the UFC.

A Brief History of the UFC

The first UFC event (a pay-per-view affair) was held at the McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado. It was 1993, and the winner was Royce Gracie of the legendary Gracie family – they’re like the Kardashians in MMA. After UFC 1, the sport began to gain interest from sponsors, and its fan base began to grow.  Struggling to find a place in the professional sports landscape, the UFC has moved from pay-per-view only and created The Ultimate Fighter, a reality TV show for Spike TV about up-and-coming MMA fighters. Due to the mainstream exposure of the UFC, fighters such as Georges StPierre have become household names. Dana White, who has served as UFC president since 2001, has helped drive the sport’s main appeal by ensuring that the cards feature top fighters and events are heavily promoted. In 2018, there were over 400 events, and female stars like Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg became as popular as their male counterparts. Names like Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, T. Dillashaw, and Rose Namajunas have become as famous as other sports stars like Tom Brady, LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Sidney Crosby.

UFC: Bettorbase Betting Approach

When it begins to betting on UFC, there are two main kinds of bets you can make. Both betting options give you the flexibility to place intelligent bets on the matches and fighters of your choice. Moneyline  A Moneyline bet is a bet you place on the fighter who you think will win the match. Each fighter is given the label of loser or favorite depending on whether he is supposed to win or lose the match. For this example, we’ll be using the fighter trick.  OVER / UNDER  UFC fight odds will be provided for betting on the OVER / UNDER rounds. It’s a bet you can make on how many spins a match will last. For five-round matches, the OVER / UNDER is usually 2.5 turns. An example would be if Mr. Bison and Col. William F. Guile of Street Fighter faced off for a five-round match.

UFC Betting Tips

New to betting on UFC fights? Has it been a while since you made a bet or placed real money bets in UFC? Below we’ve included some of the essential UFC betting tips and strategies for beginners. Keep in mind that just because these are labeled for new bettors doesn’t mean they don’t remain important to more severe and professional UFC bettors. Read the Value section in the Expert section below. Making money betting on UFC isn’t just about picking winners and losers. You must understand that not all bets pay the same amount of money. There will be situations where you believe a fighter will win, but that’s not a smart bet.

Don’t Bet On Every Fight.

If your goal of betting in the UFC is to have fun, you can skip this tip. If you want to earn money betting on the UFC, be careful. It would help if you only bet on matches with a precise prediction of what you think will happen and when the odds support the positive development of the expected value. Sometimes that can mean giving up betting on a big main event or a viral fight. If you have no advantage, do not place a bet.

Don’t rely entirely on statistics.

Look at the stats when UFC bets matter. However, statistics do not always give the big picture. Look for intangibles that could have an impact on the outcome of a fight. Also, be sure to check out the correct stats.

Verify the Accuracy of Your Betting Slips

Regardless of whether you choose to bet in person or take advantage of UFC betting sites, it would be best to verify your tickets’ accuracy. Before and immediately after placing a bet, take a minute to make sure everything is checking that you are on the correct side of the bet, the amount is right, the odds are correct, and it is for the proper event. Mistakes happen.

Buy lines at the best UFC betting sites.

As we’ve mentioned a few times before, getting the correct UFC odds can make all the difference whether or not you place a bet and how much you can win. But did you know that different UFC bookmakers can have other odds on the same bet? It’s true. Before betting on a UFC fight, take the time to look at a few different bookies to see the odds they offer. If you can prepare for a higher potential profit on an identical bet, this is a big step in the right direction.

Don’t get caught up in a bogus publicity train.

Watching the UFC is thrilling. Sometimes the excitement is due to the action; sometimes, it comes from the stories outside the octagon. Remember this. MMA advertisers and media have a job to entertain and excite you. That means you might see a big push behind a fighter who has an interesting backstory (like maybe a comeback). The excitement may not match the actual probability that this fighter will win.

What is the difference between UFC and MMA?

The difference between mixed martial arts and the Ultimate Fighting Championship is that MMA is the sport and the UFC is an organization. Mixed martial arts is the fighting style used in the UFC. It’s the same as the NFL is a league, and football is a sport. MMA is a combination of different fighting styles such as wrestling, boxing, jiujitsu, and kickboxing.  Mixed martial arts have been around since the early 1900s, but it wasn’t until the 1980s that they gained momentum. Vegas. John Wick would probably be the face of the UFC if he were a real person because he knows how to fight and would likely win all of his fights. Don’t touch his dog.
